Overprotected Release Day Party - SATURDAY

Celebrating the release of Overprotected! I'm soooo thrilled to share this story. It's the first book I wrote, when I started out 10 years ago. I wrote it as a women's romance, then as a screenplay, then I re-wrote it from Ashlyn's POV and VIOLA! It finally made it.

It amazes me how a story changes through various re-writes. With each version, there were multiple revisions, changes, etc. I bet I've written this story over 30 times when it's all said and done.

But the story felt wonderful from Ashlyn's POV, and I loved seeing her experiences wholly from her eyes. Her distortions of reality were fun to explore: feelings about Colin, her Dad and Mom - love leaving the reader to be a mediator of sorts, figuring out where her perspective is off and where it is on as the days and weeks of the events unfold.

On the sidebar I have an Overprotected link to a blog site where you can preview chapters and watch the trailer. I LOVE THE TRAILER. My daughter wrote the haunting song just for me, just for the trailer and that makes the trailer even more special for me.
